In order to renew knowledge and specialized knowledge in the field of laboratory engineering, the Integrated Biomedical Laboratory Unit of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, is organizing a Workshop which will take place in the Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Room, FK Building, Udayana University, Denpasar (June 19-22, 2023).

In this event, participants from various backgrounds including students, professors, and practitioners from all over Indonesia will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the practical application of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).

The event will be officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes, who will express that research in the field of genome sequencing will be highly beneficial for the development of medical science. The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, feels fortunate to have the opportunity and resources for the advancement of this research.

The seminar and workshop will feature competent speakers from both domestic and international backgrounds, including:

4. Dr. Yen-An Tang from National Cheng Kung University
5. Dr. Vincentus S.W. Budhyanto from Yayasan Satriabudi Dhama Setia
6. Dr. rer.nat. dr. Ni Nyoman Ayu Dewi, S.Ked., M.Sc from the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University

This event is an integrated program that combines both wet lab and dry lab practices, which will take place over a span of 4 days as follows:

1. Wet lab workshop held on June 19-20, 2023, at Cakra Vidya Usadha Building, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Denpasar.
2. Dry lab workshop held on June 21-22, 2023, in the Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G. Ngoerah Room, FK Building, Denpasar.

It is expected that this activity will not only benefit the participants in deepening their knowledge but also foster collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, and external institutions to continue contributing to the field of healthcare.
